Founded in 2021
Gameday London is an independent online publication covering local sports, including the teams and individual athletes Londoners care about – and the ones they don’t yet know about.
Gameday London takes readers behind the scenes (and beyond the box scores), offering news, analysis, long-form, interviews, chats, podcasts, and more – all produced by local journalists.
In addition to regular coverage of the city’s major sports teams, including the Knights, Lightning and Majors, to name just a few, we cover stories from the grassroots levels all the way to the professional ranks and the Olympic Games. If it’s a good story, we’re interested in telling it.
Through our Journalism Training Program, we offer internships and co-op placements to students and recent graduates that provide on-the-ground training with veteran journalists and the opportunity to have their work published and make connections in the industry.
Gameday London is committed to inclusivity and diversity in its coverage and activities. We are dedicated to producing work that reflects all of London’s population while including everyone in the conversation. After all, Gameday London is about building community and connection through sport.
Gameday London is published by Sport London News, an incorporated not-for-profit organization. As a non-profit, all funds raised through advertising, sponsorships and donations go directly towards the production of Gameday London.
